Miss Ramona Emilia Lefevre de la Ossa, better known as TRONA, was the first woman to receive the name "QUEEN OF THE POLLERA" from the Republic of Panama.

TRONA was born in the city of Panama and was educated in the United States and Europe. She was fluent in Spanish, English and French. During the administration of President Wilson (1912-1922) she lived in Washington D.C. Her brother was Head of the Panamanian Mission in D.C. There, she met Franklin Delano Roosevelt who was at the time Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

Advices received here yesterday from Panama, Colombia, announced the sudden death of Henry Lefevre, for many years the general agent at that place of the Pacific mail Steamship Company.
He was born on the Isle of Jersey. His family was among the many that left France at the time of the time of Edict of Nantes.

Nació en 1876 y murió en 1922. Ocupó diferentes cargos públicos como Director General de Correos, Presidente del Consejo Municipal de Panamá y titular en varias oportunidades de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores.
A inicios de 1918, en su calidad de Designado le tocó ocupar la Presidencia de la República, cuando Porras decidió lanzar su candidatura para las elecciones de ese año.
